The Jeep Cherokee was unceremoniously killed earlier this year, but that hasn’t stopped Vigilante from cranking out eye-catching restomods.

Their newest is this 1975 Cherokee S, which was discovered in the Lone Star state and then stripped to bare metal. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg as the model rides on a “custom-built chassis” to guarantee contemporary upgrades match seamlessly.

Speaking of the latter, energy is offered by a six.four-liter HEMI V8 establishing 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS) and 475 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque. It’s paired to a six-speed manual transmission and a 4-wheel drive method with an Atlas transfer case. They’re joined by Dana 44 and Dana 60 axles, front and rear.

To bring issues to a halt, there’s a Hydratech braking method with six-piston Baer calipers. There’s also an aftermarket energy steering box, which promises to make the model “infinitely more drivable and nimble on the road.” They’re joined by an upgraded cooling method, higher-flow exhaust manifolds, and an off-road focused suspension with Fox Racing shocks.

Vigilante didn’t say significantly about the exterior, but the Jeep has a gorgeous Brittany Blue paint job that contrasts with a Glacier White stripe and roof. We can also see vibrant chrome bumpers and 17-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.

Moving inside, there’s tan Moore &amp Giles leather with an embossed flower pattern on the seats and door panels. The SUV has also been outfitted with a Vintage Air Magnum V climate manage method and an original AM/FM/CB radio.

This certain develop was apparently produced for a client, but Vigilante noted you can order one particular of your personal. However, it will not be low cost as rates start off at $295,000 (£238,037 / €276,200).
