Police in Los Angeles are on the hunt for a man who was captured on video powersliding a stolen Dodge Charger at a current illegal street takeover occasion in South LA.

The illegal occasion took location late at evening on April 30 at Vernon Avenue and Figueroa Street in Vermont Square. It is understood that the driver of the stolen Charger was undertaking burnouts and donuts for at least ten minutes.

In a bid to assist catch the man, authorities have released a video from the occasion that was shared on social media and which clearly shows the driver’s face. Police state that the driver has been described as a male Hispanic with black hair, a mustache, and is believed to be amongst 18 and 25 years old.

The clip shows the driver coming inside feet of spectators at the occasion and undertaking donuts with passengers hanging out from the windows. Authorities spotted the man in the Charger at around 11:00 p.m. shortly following he left the scene of the takeover. They attempted to quit him but as quickly as they switched on their flashing lights, the man began up the vehicle and fled the scene.

Police have revealed that the license plate of the Charger belongs to an Infiniti.

NBC Los Angeles spoke with the owner of the Charger who revealed that he had owned it for around nine months just before it was stolen from his house in Paramount. Police have been in a position to find the Charger on May 12 close to McKinley and Vernon Avenue in Los Angeles. According to the owner, the vehicle has suffered substantial harm which includes dents across the exterior and was located with mismatched wheels.
